B.Tech - Lateral in Civil Engineering is a 3-Year undergraduate engineering program that includes the study of material science, structural designs, construction materials and management. Civil engineering is all about planning, designing and supervising the construction of facilities essential to modern life like bridges, highways, offshore buildings, colleges and schools, airports, dams, water facilities and sewage systems. This engineering specialisation help to preserve the environment by assisting in the cleaning up of pollution and devising new ways to reduce future pollution of water, air and land.

About Department

Department of Civil Engineering have faculties keenly devoted to teaching, research and extra-curricular activities. It has a strong team of 19 faculty members from core areas such as structural, Transportation, Hydraulics, Environmental and Geotechnical Engineering. Four faculty members have been awarded Ph.D. and six faculty members are pursing doctoral research. Research papers contributed by faculty members are regularly published in national and international journals and conferences of high repute. Faculty members are also invited as resource persons for various workshops and have bagged honours such as best paper award, fellowships, sponsorships for various activities. Apart from well-equipped laboratories, the department has developed a best Practices activities and various clubs to encourage curiosity and creativity among students beyond curriculum.
